Grass Fed Lamb

 

We offer farm fresh, naturally raised lamb.  Our lambs are grass fed, no hormones, no antibiotics.  We do not use fertilizer or any

chemicals on our pastures. Our lambs are available year round, as our  blackbelly sheep are non-seasonal breeders. Blackbelly sheep are a hair  sheep and yield a wonderful mild flavor meat.

 

Lambs are sold by the whole animal only.  Current price is $1.95 per pound  live weight. Depending on their age, the lambs weigh between 60 and 120  pounds. We will weigh them, you send us a check, we deliver them to the  butcher. You tell the butcher exactly how you want your lamb cut and  wrapped. Vacuum sealing is available for a slight extra charge. When you  pick up your lamb at the butcher you pay him directly.

All processing is done by a  state inspected local  processor.

 

We can deliver to a butcher of your choice within a 50 mile range of Hillsboro, MO. Delivery fee will depend on location.

 

The yield of lamb is roughly 40% to 50% of the live weight.
